Whang Inshik!
Whang In-shik, born 1940, is a kicker to whom only Hwang Jang-lee can match for power and execution of technique simultaneously.
In-shik started learning the art of Hapkido around the age of 13, officially under Choi Yong Sool "the father", Kim Young Jin as well as Ji Han Jae (aka Chi Hon Tsoi) "the founder". However he went on to develop his own way of interpreting Hapkido and is genuingly unique in the Hapkido community. Unlike many other matial artists who go on to star on the big screen, In-shik never learned any other styles. Only Hapkido. This is much to his credit, and he has portrayed his skills to great effect on many an occasion. Practising his techniques over and over again, Whang developed skill that most martial artists can only dream of. Just like Hwang Jang-lee and Tan Tao-liang, Whang In-shik is one of the few screen martial artists who can really be called a genuine martial artists off the big screen.
In the early seventies, Ji Han Jae was leading a team of Hapkido practioners on a tour to Hong Kong, of which Whang In-shik was the youngest. It was from here that he was 'discovered' and then went on to perform in When Taekwondo Strikes, Way Of The Dragon and Hapkido.
